Keventers - The world of Iconic Milkshakes

Travel and food are my favourite things! And what if you get an opportunity to visit a place where you can experience more than what you thought.
A couple of months ago I went for a weeklong tour in the capital city organized by my college! As a mass-comm student I always feel lucky that I can explore the world more than I ever thought through this course. Delhi is famous for so many reasons but food makes this city more wonderful and demanding! Many of the famous food chains and products have their origin in capital of India and are serving in whole nation through their franchises. I experienced one of them while exploring Delhi’s Connaught place!

We were in the bus when suddenly a board attracted my attention towards it. The board read that they have milkshakes made from the recipe older than your grandfather! That was enough to make me feel that I need to visit this place before leaving capital and luckily, we got the chance quite soon afterwards! I had already shown that board to few of my friends and they all were equally excited. We soon got out of the bus and went straight towards "Keventers"!
Small yet attractive interior on walls made us believe that this place is surely going to make us feel great about their milkshakes too! We had a look at the fabulous range of milkshakes that they were serving. I had never thought about milkshakes like Mint Oreo Crumble, Caramello, Chocolate Hazelnut, Melting Rose and so on! I quickly decided to order Mint Oreo Crumble as that name was attracting and different! My other friends ended up ordering Kit-Kat milkshake and Chocolate Hazelnut. 

Our order arrived within few minutes and I must say it came with another surprise! Milkshakes were packed in old style glass bottles and every bottle had one message written on its cap. It made me wonder shall I open it to taste the milkshake or just stare at the bottle for few more minutes! But we controlled our excitement and opened the bottles to taste the milkshakes! It was definitely a most cherished experience for me! All of us enjoyed every sip of it while wondering what makes it so delicious. Surprisingly they had customers of various age visiting and each of them were so busy having their milkshakes! I asked a few of them what made them visit this place. Most of them said that it’s because of the freshness and unique royal taste that these milkshakes have in it.

Keventers surely have Exquisite taste and make you feel like never before! I also got to know that Keventers brand is being revived to provide the next generation with premium quality fresh Keventers’ milkshakes and they have their franchises  in many states of India. A small juice truck with the never tasted before variety of fruit and vegetable juices! You can easily find out large variety of fruit juices here which will be made in front of you within few minutes! Many medical researchers say that, healthy and natural fruit juices will boost your energy 100 times during summer days. And hence having a glass of freshly prepared fruit juice will be the perfect thing to do this summer.

The Fizzy Refreshment

With the rising heat Nashikars are eagerly trying to find out new spots for refreshments. But if you are finding a place where you will get perfect refreshment without spending too much then "Jai bhola Goti soda" truck is perfect destination for you!
 A soft drink truck in front of city centre mall will give you big range of flavoured sodas to cool down in very reasonable price. From 7 years, this truck has been clenching the thirst of refreshment of nashikkar. I visit this place every summer just to taste their unique flavours of soda's. Located in one of the most crowded roadside, this small truck gives you vast range of soda's like lichi, lemon, kokam, Pineapple, kairi, mango,pudina, jira, green apple, ice cream soda and many more! 

One of the most famous flavour on this truck was "Limbu Shikanji Soda"!!  Combination of limbu juice with 3 mixed masalas and plane soda brings the perfect explosion in your mouth of three different flavours. People are seen visiting this place again and again just to taste it! In this current trend of big promotional advertising era, this small truck earned its customers just through mouth to mouth publicity! 

This place is totally amazing and can give you perfect relaxing experience in this hot summer. One should at least step in once in this small heaven of refreshment!

The Vintage Ice Cream

Looks like Nashik wants to be one of the hotest cities in the state this summer as heat in town rising every hour this time! People are looking for new places for refreshments and relaxation in town and so am I! But what I found yesterday brought out the best finding till now! Yes, I’m trying to inform you all about all interesting refreshment corners in city but this one, was something I never thought about!
I was hanging out with one of my friend when I heard from one of the girl walking just next to me that she just tasted 'Pot ice cream'!! I became curious as I never heard about this type of ice creams. So, I decided to ask her! And to my surprise that friendly human told me where to find it!  I was so excited that I decided to visit this place on same day. 

Darote bandhu's pot ice cream shop is one if the Oldest refreshment corner in town since last 100 years! It is their family business. Ravindra Shankar Rao Darode, owner of this wonderful venture told me that his father and grandfather also use to work here before him! It’s a handmade ice cream and also every flavour is their very own invention! I got goosebumps after hearing all these things! I never knew that a small ice cream shop near the banks of Godavari river had such a glorious hidden history! I recollect myself and ask him about what type of ice creams they have. He suggested me to try 'Gulkand' and seasonal 'Mango' flavour ice cream and I decided to go with same. Me and my friend were damn excited like kids when finally pot ice cream arrived in two small pots in front of us! 

We ignored whole surrounding and focused completely on ice cream! I was eating Gulkand flavoured pot ice cream! As I said it tasted like heaven in my mouth! You can taste small rose petals in every bite! It feels like a dream for every Foodie to sit near such a historical place in town and have such tasty and one of the oldest ice cream in your hands! I was so lost in enjoying that cup of ice cream that I never realised that I was getting late and it’s time to get back home! Before leaving this amazing place I checked out what other type of flavours they have in ice cream! Ravindra ji told me that they gave almost 6 homemade and self invented flavours in ice creams and some other refreshment options also! They use to make it at home everyday and store it here in a refrigerator! He was so friendly that he showed me an old article published in one of the famous newspaper in town about their pot ice cream and also ask me to visit this place again!

Honestly I never thought that Such an old style ice cream shop in old Nashik will mesmerise me with such amazing taste of pot ice cream! Their flavours are unique and one can definitely try it at least ones in a lifetime! I assure you will visit this place again and again! Ice creams are everyone's subject of interest but if you are a real ice cream lover then you must visit this place to experience something like never before! Its magical and definitely a real treat for all the ice cream lovers in town!

Samartha - Nashik's Vintage Juice Point

Since my school days, I use to visit Samartha Juice Centre to have Fresh Pineapple Juice with ice cream! I still feel that they have the most delicious juice in town. Actually, most of the nashikars already know this fact and this place is also well known to all of them. Almost every local level newspaper, bloggers and other social media sites wrote at least once about this place. Everyone tried to write about it through their own point of view. This made me feel nervous about this whole idea of writing about this place again! I was confused about two things for many days! One is whether I should write about something about which many already had written about and another thing is how to tell you all something more exciting and interesting about this place like never before! I finally decided to visit this place in eve just to check out the happenings around this place with this pleasantly sweet Pineapple Juice!

The place was storming with people eager to clench their thirst of refreshment. While I was waiting for my order I looked around observing the place. There have been a lot of changes in the place. Earlier they used old style ice cream pots to store the ice cream, but now I can see they use automated machines to make the pineapple ice cream. Although adapting to changing times is must, I didn’t find the same taste in this ice cream, but this was a necessary change keeping in mind the increasing popularity and the increasing the flow of customers.

I finally had my glass of juice served. With every sip, I could taste the deliciousness of the combination of pineapple ice cream, juice and pineapple pulp. I felt more and more refreshed with each sip. What is more interesting that the vintage juice shop has now become technosavy. In their second shop, they have developed a tailor-made software which records orders on the database hereby easing the process. Along with the vintage pineapple juice, Samartha also serves various Lassi, Mastani, Shakes and much more. Providing a variety of drinks, Samartha doesn’t cease to please you, no matter what is your definition of a perfect refreshment.

Taste of Summer - Paan Ice Cream

From children to old ones everyone loves Ice cream! I don't think there is anybody in this world who will disagree with this. And what if I tell you that You can get an ice cream made on pan!! Crazy concept, isn't it? But yes, that's true! While finding up some interesting refreshment corners for this summer I came to know about "Hoolala ice cream" who came up with this amazing idea of "Paan Roll ice cream"! These types of ice cream corners are very much famous in many foreign country and even in some metro cities of India. And that’s what made me super excited about this very first Pan Ice cream in Nashik that I decided to visit this place on the same day.

This is the very first place in Nashik which has this type of ice creams. When I went inside, all I wanted to see is how so they make it! An ice cream made on Pan is definitely not a common thing and so I asked them to let me watch it. But for that I had to choose my favourite flavour from their list! You won't believe that they have more than 25 different flavours in Pan Ice cream and each of them is way different yet damn delicious at the same time. After thinking a lot, I chose Choco almond! 

Now I was excited to see how they are gonna make it! He poured cream and milk mixture on the pan. He then added chopped almonds, choco nuts and chocolate sauce and mixed it rigorously. After properly mixing it, he then spread it on the pan. Then he rolled the ice cream through special tool into small rolls. The ice cream was then placed into small cups and garnished with choco chips, chopped almonds and rainbow sprinkles. I was totally amazed and equally excited to try it. With every bite, I could taste all the wonderful ingredients in it. Sometimes if the ice cream is too sweet, it can be irritating, but this ice cream was appropriately sweet.

After experiencing this surprisingly great taste of Pan Ice cream by Hoolala ice cream shop, I can surely assure that everyone must visit this place ones this summer to experience this amazingly delicious pan ice cream!

Akbar's Amazing Soda

As a blogger, Im always curious about finding something different from everything around me. But More than a blogger, Im a big Foodie and when you get a chance to write about your favourite thing which is food for me, then how can I ignore it!

Since the past few years, heat in summers has been ever increasing in the city. Because of that Nashikars are always eager to find out new spots of refreshments. As I started thinking about where to start from, I suddenly recalled my early college days. Me and my friends use to go at 'Akbar soda shop' to drink different types of tasty sodas for our much needed refreshment. And that made me revisit this Nashikers very own Akbar soda shop!

We have 7 - 8 different franchises of Akbar Soda in our city and luckily one of them is owned by my friend at Nashikroad. So I grabbed the opportunity to visit his shop so that i can get to know more about these delicious varieties they have in it. When I reached their, I saw number of college going students, families that were enjoying their glass of refreshing soda. This whole scenario made me more eager to taste one as soon as possible. I went towards the shop counter where my friend was already waiting for me. I immediately asked him to give me something interesting from whatever they have. He asked me what I wanted to start from while passing the menu card.

I was amazed as I had a look on the menu card in front of me. They almost had 43 different types of flavoured  soda's over there! They had lemon, jeera, orange, kala khatta, pudina red rose, litchi, apple, mango, grapes, etc! I had never noticed this in the past as usually my friends use to order for me but this time i was totally stunned after reading all this! For my amazement they also had flavours like ice cream soda, blue lagoon, Red guava and also Flavoured alcoholic soda which is completely non alcoholic but you can experience the flavour of it! I was surprised yet super excited to try some of them. I was equally confused to decide where to start from!

Finally I settled down with 4 different soda's which was fruit beer, ice cream soda, jeera masala and blue lagoon! I wanted to experience each of them and so I decided to start with blue lagoon. It was a great mixture of  Curacao Syrup, lemon juice, Sugar syrup,ginger Crushed and Mint in it. Next one was fruit beer. As the name suggests it contains a bit flavour of beer yet its completely non alcoholic. It simply contains Fruit juice (naturally occurring)Kvass,Kefir and a basic flavour from beer. This made it very interesting and you will definitely enjoy it. Ice cream soda came as a surprise for me as it was a mixture of flavored syrup and carbonated water! Last but not the least jeera masala was simple jeera flavoured soda with a tangy taste in it!

This was all an all one of the most refreshing experience for me. Akbar soda is one of the old refreshment point in nashik and a big local brand too! Its one of the favourite spot of nashikers and after this experience Im pretty much sure that it will always be a favourite for all of us. Their flavours are unique and promising with the very reasonable low rates! Refreshment like this is a like a heavenly touch in such hot summer! Im glad that I stared up with this uniquely promising Akbar soda for my blog and heartly recommend you all to please take out some time from your busy schedule and visit 'Akbar' atleast ones this summer!
